Carol Anne Werstler, 73, formerly of Leesburg, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Oct. 12, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.  She was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Peru, to Waldo and Ruth Fields Bostel. On Dec. 6, 1980, she was married to Daniel Rex Werstler, who passed away unexpectedly July 27, 2015. 

– Melynda “Mindy” Leisure, 29, Wabash, died at 5:30 a.m. Oct. 11, 2016, in her residence. She was born Aug. 9, 1987, in Wabash, to Larry M. and Laura A. Eads Leisure, who survive in North Manchester.

Lainey Kay Rapsavage, 6 weeks, Warsaw, was released into God’s arms  at 2:50 p.m. Oct. 9, 2016, at Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis.  She was born Aug. 22, 2016, in Warsaw, to Ryan and Lindsay Dixon Rapsavage. 

Rodger L. Sherk, 73, Rochester, passed away at 11:05 p.m. Oct. 11, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Culver. He was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Plymouth, to George and Beulah Beyler Sherk. On June 23, 1963, in Teegarden, he married Bonnie Cowen, who survives in Rochester.

John G. “Jack” Hamilton, DDS, MSD, 72, Syracuse, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Aug. 31, 2016, at Center for Hospice Care House, Elkhart.  He was born June 29, 1944, in Fort Wayne, to Gerald J. and Lois M. Rondot Hamilton. On Aug. 28, 1965, in Fort Wayne, he was married to Diana K. Dellinger, who survives in Syracuse.

Ted David Eherenman, 60, Claypool, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 10, 2016, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born Dec. 6, 1955, in Warsaw, to Rex “Fritz” and Judy Estep Eherenman. 

Dennis Lee Pinkerton, 68, Milford, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Oct. 10, 2016, in Syracuse.  He was born Aug. 24, 1948, in Warsaw, to Glenn and Velma Miller Pinkerton. On Dec. 14, 1974, he was married to Doralee Johnson, who survives in Milford.

Phillip Edward “Phil” Hartley, 83, Syracuse, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Oct. 8, 2016, at his home. He was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Muncie, to Harry and Velma Morgan Hartley. He was married to Dixie Zaph, who preceded him in 1977. On Sept. 3, 1978, in Warsaw, he married Janet S. Nottingham Mesaros, who survives in Syracuse.

Robert K. “Bob” Loper, 84, Lucerne, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 8, 2016, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Born Aug. 31, 1932, in Gary, he was the son of Robert C. and Mildred King Loper. On Dec. 22, 1956, in Chesterton, he married Judith Robinson, who preceded in death June 30, 2008.

 On Oct. 8, 2016, the Lord welcomed home Jack L. Knotts, beloved husband, father, brother and friend. Our Lord chose a beautiful autumn day to peacefully call home his faithful son, surrounded by family and friends whom Jack so loved.

Lou Anne Guilford, 53, of Lafayette,  passed peacefully on Oct. 5, 2016, following her battle with ovarian cancer.

Kelly R. Kuhn, 51, Nappanee, died at 10:20 a.m. Oct. 5, 2016, at her home after a three-year battle with ALS. She was born Feb. 10, 1965, in Bremen, to George E. and Carol Diane Deardorff Stanifer. Her first marriage was to Lee Lawmaster, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 17, 1988, in Nappanee, she married Ted A. Kuhn, who survives.

Anna Sudlow, 103, Syracuse, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse. She was born Dec. 28, 1912, in Elkhart County, to Jesse and Merta Harsh Rex. On Nov. 21, 1931, in Syracuse, she married W.A. “John” Sudlow, who preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1993.

Betty Jean Highley, 89, passed away peacefully Sept. 29, 2016, in Palm Harbor, where she retired 30 years ago with her husband of 67 years, Everett Highley.

E. Louise Easterday, 90, Columbia City, died at 2:10 p.m. Oct. 5, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, where she had been a resident since July 2013.
