An indicator each year that summer is just around the corner, girls tennis began sectional play on Thursday afternoon, with three local schools, including hosts Warsaw, beginning their postseason journeys.

SYRACUSE — Tuesday afternoon’s high school baseball game in Syracuse between Whitko and Wawasee ended the only way it could have – with a dropped pop fly.

SOUTH BEND — Travelling to South Bend Riley for a doubleheader Tuesday, the Wawasee softball team dropped both games.
