Violent criminals are only serving one-third of their sentences in many cases.On average: 7.7 years for murder; 4.6 years for rape; 3.3 years for robbery; and 1.9 years for aggravated assault. Bill Clinton and Janet Reno should spend more time on getting tough on crime and less time trying to chip away at law abiding citizens' right to keep and bear arms. The University of Chicago concluded a study "Allowing Law Abiding Citizens to Carry Concealed Weapons Deters Violent Crime."All the laws in the world will not work unless they are enforced.
Editor, Times-Union:I'm appalled at Hamas firing rockets into Israel and other countries reacting with criticism while everybody knows Hamas is a state sponsor of terrorism and have been shelling Israel for years.

Everyone who hunts in Indiana must follow laws set forth by Indiana Department of Natural Resources.The rules are specific that only certain caliber guns and types of bows are allowed.Sportsmen and sportswomen must abide by all regulations set forth by our state IDNR.
Editor, Times-Union:Do you remember when the oil price per barrel was skyrocketing in the middle of 2008? When the price hit a new high of $100 a barrel it was $2.99 at the pump.
