NORTH WEBSTER - The name and location has changed, but 11 years after starting her own business, Ryea Fuller opened Gloss House on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 614 N. Main St., North Webster, with her friends.
“I have had a nail salon for 11 years here in North Webster across from the grocery store. It’s called Studio 51, so this is like an expansion of that. The name has changed, but I just wanted to do something bigger and all of these ladies are my friends, so we’re all working together,” she stated.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate Gloss House’s grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. An open house was scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m.
“We’re a beauty salon and we do nails, hair, skin, tanning. We have a sauna, massage and we will have a salt room but it’s not finished yet. In a couple weeks it will be,” she said in an interview Saturday morning before a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The women who work at Gloss House each rent a room and there’s five of them total, including Fuller. There’s two nail technicians, two hair stylists and one massage therapist who work in the building.
Asked about the new location for her business, Fuller said, “This location has been vacant for a while and we wanted to repurpose a new building, instead of doing something new, fix something up and it’s completely different now.”
The building previously was a Lutheran Health doctor’s office.
Each woman at Gloss House has their own individual website for more information on hours, prices and services, but Fuller said they also have a Facebook page for Gloss House that people can contact them through. The phone number is 574-304-8008.
