Letters To The Editor

Editor, Times-Union:I always thought newspapers were supposed to be neutral in their publications. It seems to me that the Times-Union is one-sided.

Editor, Times-Union:It seems that Kosciusko Literary Services has been all aglow over "The Big Read," Dr. Elliot Engel, and his lecture on author, F. Scott Fitzgerald, which brings back that fabulous, notorious, period in history "The Roaring '20s."

Editor, Times-Union:We recently found out that our first fired-up campaign was a great success thanks to the power of the many letters we all wrote in support of Dr. Goksel.

Editor, Times-Union:When rodeo bull riders get bucked off, they send in the clowns to distract the bull from the rider.

Editor, Times-Union: It blows my mind that Americans continue to demonize our government and bankers for the state of our current economy.  What blows my mind even more is that the people most responsible for it are the ones pointing the fingers.

Editor, Times-Union:My name is Christopher Creekmore and I am writing this letter to the people of Warsaw and the surrounding communities.

- Abolish Governmental Slavery - Unnatural Acts - Unfair Teams Abolish Governmental Slavery Editor, Times-Union: Slavery was abolished you say? We are all slaves. We have been enslaved by a federal government that we allowed to ignore our Constitution and to grow to enormous proportion and totally out of our control. We are slaves to a socialistic government. We are slaves to the IRS, to increased rules and regulations put into place by our over-empowered corrupt government officials.Soon we will be slaves to the world as the same corrupt government delivers us to the one-world government through our involvement with the United Nations, NATO and other one-world government organizations.

Editor, Times-Union:All too often victims of domestic violence do not have a strong voice. But in Indiana, Rep. Rebecca Kubacki provides one.

Editor, Times-Union:It was the night you could have heard a pin drop, the night Eric Miller came to town.

- Joe's Garage - Special Interests - Defend Jones - Roemer Challenge Joe's Garage Editor, Times-Union: I would like to take this opportunity to thank Teresa Carrano for her article that showcased my band, Joe's Garage, in the June 29th edition of the Times-Union.Ms.Carrano spent several hours listening to our rehearsal, photographing us andÊinterviewing us over the phone.None of the band members expected the article to beÊso in-depth or to take upÊso much print space! We appreciate her efforts and the exposure that they brought.

Editor, Times-Union:My son laughed when I told him that you put Doonesbury and Mallard Fillmore together on the editorial page, presumably to counterbalance right with left.

Editor, Times-Union:The Bible teaches all sin stems from three root causes: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. People whose lives are consumed with these three principles are of the world and not of God. Things that are of the world are destined to destroy anything and everything in its path.

Editor, Times-Union:This week, I was at ACE in Warsaw, and the woman in front of me in line was buying a BrAun coffee maker.

- The Front Porch - Loving Indiana - Military Retirees The Front Porch Editor, Times-Union: Summertime is nearly at hand and summer and warm weather always remind me of the front porch.Whenever I amble down the street, I notice that many houses lack a front porch.A front porch brings back many pleasant memories of yesteryear.A front porch used to be considered almost sacred, a place where you did a lot of sitting, and thinking, and where you entertained your friends.

- Responds To Brumfield - Endorses Waggoner - Endorses Recorder Candidate - Integrity - Whitaker Doing His Job - Endorses Hampton - Thanks To VFW - Hospital Stay - Boys, Girls Club Supported - Memories Of Ferguson Responds To Brumfield Editor Times-Union: Re: Letter to the Editor that appeared April 17 from Jennifer Brumfield. I guess that you feel that if "your candidate" is losing the election, you write a letter and accuse another candidate of having no integrity.

- Intelligent Responses Editor, Times-Union: Intelligent Responses Editor, Times-Union: To begin with, I'd like to thank Sherri Parker, Joe Gamble, Lacey Shewman and Brittany Kusserow for their kind and intelligent responses in regards to my question about the class motto of the senior graduating class of Tippecanoe Valley High School.Whether I agree or not with their interpretations isn't what's most important to me.The fact that they respected me enough to discuss maturely their differing views brightens my day. It seems that society today believes in only "black or white" issues. We live in a day when either you "agree with me or you're wrong" attitudes are the norm.Thank you for softening that feeling.

Editor, Times-Union:Democrats say deficit is no problem.

Editor Times Union:    I too write to express my disappointment and disbelief upon hearing that Dr. Musaberk Goksel will not be having his contract renewed at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Editor, Times-Union:One point that keeps coming up about health care reform is "who is going to pay for it."
