One of my favorite movies is "While I Was Sleeping."
The past few months I've been thinking of how people have changed. I was very blessed to stay home for 15 years to raise our children. When I returned to work in the factories, things had really changed. People used to be respectful and kind to each other. Not anymore. We are overworked, tired and impatient with each other.I've read the obituaries more since my mother-in-law died a year ago. She died all alone. She, nor her family, thought she was sick enough to die, but she did.
I notice how many people pass away in their residence. They are young and old. Death is not respectful of persons. I wonder were they sick or did they decide to end it all? Didn't they have anyone that cared?
God is teaching me to be more compassionate every day. God has also taught me to look into peoples' eyes and see their hurt. Also, see what I can do to be their friend and help them.
John 15: 12 says, "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."
Isn't it time all of us each decide to love and be kind to each other?
I've chose to attend WCC because the church preaches the Word and trusts the people to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12b. God is our final judge.
