Editor, Times-Union:The Murdoch/Lugar race is not the only important item on the Republican Primary ballot on May 8th. Even though Mitt Romney looks to have the nomination in the bag, I would like to strongly urge everyone to go to the polls on May 8th to vote for Ron Paul instead of Mitt Romney.

Editor, Times-Union:Many jobs have been lost in Indiana in the RV industry.

Editor, Times-Union:My suggestion to the Traffic Panel is to meet with the appropriate committees/departments and see to it the existing laws, such as speed limits, are enforced before making any changes.

Never more noticeable was it than Tuesday at the gym, while citizens were in line to pay their respects to a fallen Marine, a couple of ignorant individuals failed to follow common courtesy by removing their baseball caps.

- Save Claypool School - Call Your Congressman Save Claypool School Editor, Times-Union: I am so happy to see the outpouring support to save our school.I know that the vote was completed, I was there.I also know that it is honorable to say you have made a mistake and slow down and think out a more sensible solution.Claypool Elementary is a great school, with a great staff and wonderful facilities.It is in a great location, and it seems illogical to just shut it down and move all those kids to an already overcrowded school.I went to Claypool all of my elementary years and am thrilled that my children are going to such a fine school.

Editor, Times-Union:Monday marked the 150th anniversary of the birth of William Ashley “Billy” Sunday. Born into poverty in 1862 near Ames, Iowa, and raised in an orphanage his speed on the base paths won him a try out with Adrian “Cap” Anson and the Chicago White Stocking (now Cubs) after being put on a train from Marshalltown, Iowa.
