Letters To The Editor

Editor, Times-Union:I stare out this window once again, looking beyond these bars, these walls, these hills.

Editor, Times-Union: Once again, this Saturday morning will see hundreds of athletes on bicycles on the Pierceton Road from Winona Lake to Pierceton. And I do mean hundreds of bikes, on both sides of the road, making travel in a car or truck very hazardous that morning. We’re on that road from 8 a.m. until about 11 a.m.

- Not Necessarily So - Help Our 'Otis' - Libertarian Meeting - Lost Dog, Happy Ending Not Necessarily So Editor, Times-Union: What the president, Congress and economists tell us about the economy reminds me of what George Gershwin wrote in one of his songs: "It ain't necessarily so."When one talks to the average citizen about the economy it is a different story than that which comes out of Washington, D.C.

Editor, Times-Union:Would like to say a very nice article and picture of the LCA team donating food to Combined Community Services.

Editor, Times-Union: Thank you for your feature articles about algae bloom and the health of our lakes. Clean water is the concern of everyone who uses the lakes. We are blessed with an abundance, in Kosciusko County. Let’s all do our part to keep them clean.

Editor, Times-Union:I very much feel the need to write my feelings, too, about the end of service of a very valuable member of our medical community.

Editor, Times-Union:My family and I moved to Warsaw from Haviland, Kan., in 2002. Greensburg is just nine miles west of Haviland.

Editor, Times-Union: I read the paper this week and was greatly encouraged that someone other than myself thinks the policy of Wawasee School District on lice is ridiculous.

Editor, Times-Union:In his editorial of 3/9/07, Gary Gerard once again tries to come across as the conservative who will even criticize conservatives, if the offense is bad enough.

Editor, Times-Union:I need to take issue with you on a few statements in Saturday’s News Views.

Editor, Times-Union:This is in response to Kay Dimick's second letter to myself and Mr. Goon.

I would like to tell you about another concerned citizen and taxpayer in our community - Lt.Steven Knispel, Republican candidate for sheriff.

Editor, Times-Union:This letter has nothing to do with politics.

To say that Walk-N-Wander Warsaw has greatly impacted our community this summer would be a gross understatement.

Editor, Times-Union:Over the past few days, the local news has featured Rep. Mark Souder discussing the loss of jobs due to the planned closing of RV manufacturer Monaco.

Editor, Times-Union:Partial Summary of Foundational Human Rights:

Editor, Times-Union:With all the flooding that has plagued Indiana this year, what we may need in the future is an underground reservoir system that might be connected to an interstate underground reservoir system that could hold more water than what is contained in the Great Lakes.

- Impressed With Madison - Leesburg Says Thanks Impressed With Madison Editor, Times-Union: One can only imagine my shock when, in talking with another mother the other day, she wrinkled her nose when I told her my children attended Madison Elementary School here in Warsaw. In fact, she asked why my children would go there since Madison is one of the "lower" schools! I was flabbergasted! I have two daughters who have completed the first and third grades this year at Madison. This is their first year to attend Madison after being at a local private school.I, after much investigation, made the choice to place them in public school at Madison. It has been a remarkable year of educational, personal and social growth for my girls and is one of the best choices I have ever made for my children.
