    Hal Hoffman of Claypool recently attended the Dekalb-Pfizer Genetics Winner's Circle Conference in Cincinnati. Hoffman was recognized at the conference for being among the top 10 percent of Dekalb seed dealers. Hoffman has been Dekalb-Pfizer dealer for two years and this is his first year as a Winner's Circle member.

    Three band members of Warsaw Schools have been honored for an outstanding job in selling candy for the 1972 Band Boosters Fund. Bill Lowry, representing the freshman band, sold 201 boxes of candy; Pam Olinger, senior high school band, 140 boxes; and Christy Eherenman, eighth grade band, 176 boxes.

    Bud Priser, of the produce department at Robinson's, unpacking bananas, noticed a big peculiar looking leaf on a stalk and started to brush it away with his foot. He took a closer look and it looked back at him. It was a banana spider with a leg spread of about two inches, somewhat groggy with cold. Bud got a considerable chill too.

    Warsaw Candy Kitchen has Booth's Chocolates, made for candy lovers, for 20 cents per pound. They also have candy canes of all sizes.
