    Stephanie Berkey was named Wawasee homecoming queen and Mike Meek was named homecoming king at Syracuse Friday night. The Warriors celebrated with a 20-7 victory.

    After an 18-year "rest," Dr. Norman Uphouse is going back to school. Uphouse, who is Grace College's division of education and psychology chairman, is enrolled with his wife, Miriam, in a course in "Transactional Analysis" at the I.U.-Purdue Center in Fort Wayne. The nicest part about it, according to Mrs. Uphouse, is that it guarantees eating out at least one night a week!

    Using an old-fashioned rifle, Rupert Hill, Silver Lake, placed first in national muzzle loading contest 50-yard event recently at Dillsboro, Ind., competing against nearly 100 others.

    A sausage grinder, homemade perhaps 100 years ago, by the father of Dr. C. W. Burket of this city, is on display in the Times window. The machine, made mostly of wood, was probably the invention of the maker.
