Warsaw Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Monday approved a performance bonus resolution for WHA employees.

The board gave Pam Kennedy, Housing Opportunities of Warsaw executive director, approval to award employees with performance bonuses of up to $500.

Any employee receiving a performance bonus will be recognized at the board meeting closest in time to receiving the bonus for recognition of their efforts.

Kennedy informed the board she submitted the department's 2010 budget request of $30,000 to the city.

Kennedy said United Way of Kosciusko County's Day of Caring is Aug. 26. Volunteers will repair homes in the county.

The board also approved a capitalization and depreciation policy. The policy establishes guidelines for determining when certain expenditures should be capitalized as capital assets and specifies the agency's depreciation policy.

The policy states expenditures for items with an expected useful life of less than three years should not be capitalized.

The board also set a date for an executive session for Kennedy's wage review for Sept. 15 at 5:15 p.m.
