A goal of the Warsaw Community Public Library is to come alongside parents to help them get their preschool children to be "Blown Away by Books" so much so that their love of books will last a lifetime.
Parents and children are invited to take part in the upcoming story hour series, beginning Tuesday and concluding April 15.
Two-year-olds meet on Tuesdays, 3-year-olds on Wednesdays and 4- and 5-year-olds on Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the activity room, located on the lower level.
Parents or caregivers are required to sit in with the 2s and 3s, but the 4s and 5s may attend their classes alone. However, the adult must remain in the library during the programs.
Register to participate by calling 574-267-6011 or register from home online at www.warsawlibrary.org
Parents also are invited to attend a Preschool Daycare Fair to receive information from various facilities in the community and to meet teachers and caregivers. Two workshops, giving tips on introducing young children to books, take place at 11 a.m. and at noon. The fair begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. Jan. 23 in room AB. No registration is needed.
