Young performers in second through 12th grades are invited to take the stage this fall as Wagon Wheel Conservatory opens registration for its fall workshops, taking place Nov. 2-6 at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts in Warsaw.
Designed to give students an immersive introduction to the performing arts, the five-day workshops will challenge participants to explore acting, character development, and storytelling while rehearsing a short show to perform for family and friends at the end of the week, according to a provided news release.
Throughout the workshops, students will collaborate as an ensemble, strengthen their performance skills and discover new ways to bring characters and stories to life. Whether returning to the Conservatory or stepping into a theatre program for the first time, participants will have the opportunity to build confidence, make connections, and experience creating a theatrical production in just one week, stated the release.
All rehearsals and final performances will take place on the Wagon Wheel Theatre stage, giving students the opportunity to learn in the theatre-in-the-round environment that distinguishes Wagon Wheel’s professional productions.
Fall Workshops are divided into two age groups:
Second through fourth grades: Monday through Friday, 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. The final performance will take place Friday, Nov. 6, at 5:15 p.m.
Fifth through 12th grades: Monday through Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. The final performance will take place Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
