Toastmasters To Induct 4 Thursday

Posted
WINONA LAKE – On Thursday,  four new members will be inducted into the Lake City Toastmasters club.

This induction ceremony is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. in room 107 of McClain Hall at Grace College.

David Wolfe, one of the new members, said, “Being part of Toastmasters is a great way to build confidence and enhance my speaking skills. I can learn at my own pace with others who share an interest in improving.”

“Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills; we are excited to support our new members and grow together,” said Serena Case, president of the club.

Jean Wolfe, Toastmasters Area 13 director, encouraged people to consider visiting and becoming a member.

“Toastmasters is nothing like high school or college speech classes. If you were uncomfortable in classroom settings, consider Toastmasters. If you loved speech class, also consider Toastmasters as a practical way to take your skills to the next level. You are provided with feedback to help you improve, not a grade; you are with a group of people who want to be there and want to develop; and you set your goals and pace to achieve them,” she said.

Lake City Toastmasters have club meetings at 5:30 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month. To learn more about the Lake City Toastmasters club, go to 7566.toastmastersclubs.org.
