SYRACUSE – At the Syracuse Town Council meeting on June 16, the council passed Resolution 20-07, which closes Lakeside Park and Hoy’s Beach on July 3 and July 4 due to the spread of the coronavirus.
With the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in the Syracuse area and with the social distancing and gathering recommendations due to COVID-19, it was determined that the best decision for the safety of the Syracuse community would be to close the parks for July 3-4.
