INDIANAPOLIS - Four Syracuse friends got together every Thursday evening. When they heard about Hoosier Million Dollar Raffle, they decided to give it a shot, agreeing to split any winnings.
"We thought maybe we'd win $1,000," said Dennis Hapner, still overwhelmed after learning he and his friends were going to split the second of five $100,000 Raffle prizes. "This is a bit better."
Hapner and his friends, Gerald Babb, Bob Niles and Roger Niles, claimed their prize Monday morning at Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis. The winning numbers were drawn Aug. 16 at the Indiana State Fair.
Babb, who was in charge of the tickets, bought the group's Hoosier Million Dollar Raffle ticket at Washington Food Mart at 2601 N. Washington in Kokomo.
