    The dream of an Olympic medal is over for Warsaw's Randy Heisler as he failed to qualify for the finals in the discus competition Thursday night.

Heisler, who was the second Warsaw resident to ever make the Olympics, was hoping to become the first to earn a medal in the international competition.

September 30 1973

    A new executive director for Kosciusko County Boy Scouts arrived in Warsaw recently. Bruce Andrews and his wife, Leslie, reside at 2124 E. Market St.

Andrews brings a lot of scouting experience to the Anthony Wayne Area (Kosciusko) Scout Council. The 24-year-old director has been in scouting for 16 years.

    When local football fans attend the game between Warsaw and New Haven high schools here Friday night, they will see two new cheerleaders directing the Warsaw rooting section.

Jerry Berlin, senior, and Richard Wilson, sophomore, are leading high school cheers for the first time this year.

    A large scoreboard has been erected on the Beyer Field for the use of the WHS Tiger football team, by the local chapter of the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity. The board is black with orange letters, the Tiger colors, and has space for downs, periods and halves.
