    Marie Osmond charmed Kosciusko County residents Saturday evening during two performances at the Wagon Wheel Theatre. She had no trouble getting her fans to join her and she had the theater in the round rocking in no time.

    Sixteen members of the Bourbon Lions Club met this week and enjoyed music by the Carlberg sisters, Dianne and Pam. Both girls played accordions and sang. The girls are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Carlberg, Bourbon.

    Nine beautiful young ladies will compete for the title "1948 Mentone Egg Queen," at the annual egg show there, next Thursday evening.

The girls competing for their respective communities are: Charlen Mattix, Burket; Lois Drudge, Claypool; Grace Spencer, Akron; Mary Lou Morris, Tippecanoe; Wylan Titus, Atwood; Bonnie Adams, Beaver Dam; Joann Zimpleman, North Manchester; Elaine Harshner, Etna Green; and Donna Lee Linn, Mentone.
