Vere Sutherlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Sutherlin, West Center Street, is one of the stars of DePauw University's track team this spring.

Sutherlin runs the 440 and 880, and is also a member of the relay team which broke the school record in the little state track meet for the mile relay, when they covered the mile in three minutes and 25 seconds. He won both the 440- and 880-yard run and in these two events he has not yet been defeated this year.
