    Four men, with more than 60 total years of service for Warsaw Community Schools, will be honored at the Teacher Retirement Banquet. Retirees include William DeGaetano, Joe Harris, Phil Krieg, and David W. Robinson.

    A crowd of between 1,100 and 1,200 persons atended the third annual egg breakfast held at the Shrine Building. Long lines of persons waited to be served at the highly successful affair co-sponsored by Creighton Brothers and Lake City Bank.

May 17 1947

    Postmaster Bowen reports that 2,000 centenary air envelopes, commemorative of the issuance of the first adhesive postage stamp, were placed on sale at the postoffice, mainly for the benefit of collectors. When the supply is gone, there will be no more. The stamps on the envelope are red, of the small No. 13 variety.

May 17 1922

    Thirty-five members of the Goshen company of the Indiana National Guard will be in Warsaw tomorrow to use the rifle range northeast of Warsaw. The 35 comprise the rifle squad to come to Warsaw again on June 4, 5 and 6 to participate in the rifle shoot. Joe Foote has contracted to feed the men while here.
