    The shuffleboard team from the Leesburg Keg Tavern took first place in round robin action of the Hoosier Shuffleboard League. Champion team members are Ortie Mann, Bob Roberts, Darrell Meck, Dave Holbrook, Tom Mallen, DeVon Sellers and Jake Sellers.

    Warsaw Community High School basketball coach Jim Miller was awarded a plaque at the state finals in Indianapolis Saturday recognizing his 300th win as a Hoosier prep coach.

    Mrs. Edwin Boyer was elected president of the Winona Literary Club at the meeting in the Rainbow room of the Westminster hotel.

Members of her cabinet will be: Mrs. Paul Creamer, first vice president; Mrs. Blaine Mikesell, second vice president; Mrs. A.R. Greider, corresponding secretary; Mrs. A.S. Hill, financial secretary; and Mrs. Herbert Thomas, treasurer.

    Johnny Oswalt, eccentric baseball iron armed twirler, who used to toss them for Al Gerard's Warsaw Specials and other semi-professional ball teams in this section, has joined King Ben's long-haired baseball team at Benton Harbor. "Johnny" will do the pitching for the House of David baseball team, one of the fastest ball teams in the middle west, this summer. Whether Johnny has already started his long hair and whiskers crop is not known. Johnny ought to fit in perfectly with that organization, according to his friends.
