The Warsaw Racquet Club has a new professional as Jack Sanders has taken over those duties.
Two students from Milford Junior High received academic merit awards from the Times-Union and Radio Stations WRSW AM-FM. The awards, medals with blue and gold ribbons, were given at awards ceremonies at the school by the principal, Marion R. Acton. The winners were: English, Daniel Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Martin, Milford; and math, Dawn Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Price, Syracuse.
Discovery of a live carp by workmen digging an elevator shaft underneath the sidewalk in downtown North Manchester continued to baffle residents. The shaft is being constructed in front of the Oppenheim store in the main business section. Workmen, while pumping out water which had accumulated in the shaft during the night stared with awe and disbelief when they looked down to find the fish swimming at the bottom of the shaft.
You must toe the chalk marks when parking your auto in Warsaw streets if you don't want to receive a police order to report to Mayor Sloane's court. This order is being strictly enforced so that more cars can be parked on the streets. If one car fails to keep within the lines it throws several others out of parking space.
