Raymond Grubbs retired in May after serving as custodian at Mentone School for more than 20 years. He is looking forward to fishing, getting his RV repaired and spending a lot of time in the state parks, but first on his agenda is spending at least six months of quality time with his wife, Georgianna.

Twenty-Five members of the "Border Boys," veterans of the Mexican border service of 1916, and former members of Co. H, Third Indiana Infantry, met last night on the 12th anniversary of their call to service and enjoyed a reunion and banquet. The campfire session at which vivid war stories were related and exaggerated followed the delicious dinner menu served by Chef Charles Wheeler. Speeches were made by Colonel Kilmer, Major Beyer, Sergeant Victor Short, Sergeant Geo. Gill and Private Sam Hutton.
