Kosciusko County Mothers of Marines have sent homemade cookies as a 4th of July treat to the veteran at the Marion Hospital. Members met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Alice gibson, South Union Street, and packed 20 dozen for the hospital.ÊEstella Stookey, Mrs. Maurice Noble and Mrs. E.E. Ragan served on the committee in charge of the project.
Nine teachers of Kosciusko County are taking advanced work towards their degrees this summer at a six weeks' course at Columbia University, New York City. They are Mary Bryant, Mabel Kellar, Maude Yontz, Hope Kirkpatrick, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Whitehead and Messrs. Walter Hall, Floyd Wolfe and L.B. Eherman. The last three named are working for their master's degree.
