Jay Hicks, a 1992 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, will continue his track and cross country career at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kan. Hicks finished sixth in the cross country state finals during his junior year.

    Three Kosciusko Community YMCA swimmers won high point trophies, along with other assorted hardware, at the recent Columbia City Invitational. They are Missy Herndon, Steve Clark and Nate Zolman.

    The Vitreous Steel Products Co., Nappanee, has accomplished 3-1/2 years of continuous safety without a long-time accident, officials announced today. The last lost time accident occurred in January 1949, and more than 800,000 man-hours have been worked since that time.

    Dr. and Mrs. Orville Richer, accompanied by Dr. and Mrs. H.E. Vanderbogart, Goshen, will sail from New York City for Paris, France, September 10, on the Leviathan. Dr. Richer is delegate from northern Indiana to the American Legion convention to take place this fall in Paris.
