    The trio of Shammonda Clark, Heidi Glass and Misty Pennington each smacked triples to lead the Fireflies to a 19-15 victory over the Scorpions in action in the Warsaw Girls Softball League.

With the win, the Fireflies concluded the season tied for first place with the Scorpions.

    Bart Hedington, Warsaw, and Alicia Dickerhoff, Mentone, will reign over the 62nd Kosciusko County Fair after being selected as 4-H King and Queen during the 4-H fashion revue in the Warsaw Community High School auditorium Monday night. Bart and Alicia will present trophies and ribbons to their fellow 4-H'ers during the week-long fair.

    County men who donated their time to start the dairy building on the fairgrounds are Paul Jackson, county farm agent; Leland Osborn, Eugene Ringenberg, Perry Brown and Clarence Estep, all of Pierceton; James and Harold Gawthrop, both of Etna Green; Lawrence Rife, building superintendent; Jack Beebe and Earl Johnson, Warsaw; Jay Swick, Akron; and James Coszy, Beaver Dam. The building, sponsored by the county dairy association, is being erected by county farmers for public use.

    Gasoline prices here this morning at service stations jumped from 17.4 cents per gallon to 20.4 at most stations with E.W. Conrad maintaining his gasoline war prices at 17 cents per gallon.
