    Members of the Llama Lovers 4-H Club represented Kosciusko County at the 1998 Indiana State Fair. Shelby May won seventh-place showmanship award; Brian Williamson, third-place beginner's showmanship; Amy Durst, reserve champion, heavy wool female halter; and Allison May, grand champion, heavy wool female halter.

    Selected from the senior class at Warsaw Community High School as homecoming queen and king were Laurie Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Howard, and Rich Caldwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stackhouse.

September 30 1958

    Times-Union cameraman Koher went "sun shadow" hunting recently, believing photo evidence of clear skies and sunshine - on the heels of nearly seven inches of rain the last three days. What did he find? "Hula-hoopsters" in action on the city school playgrounds! Karen Nine, Marsha Ann Miner, Patricia Murray and Vicki Finkenbiner, all 8 years old and in the East Ward third grade, were showing their prowess at the nation's latest "fad."

    Robert Robison of Leesburg, was honored by being named one of the two members of the senior class of North Manchester College to act on the student council. The class members elect their delegates to act on the council.
