Our Times-Union accountant, Dennis Plummer, found leaving a Cubs game early can have its benefits. Plummer, who went to the park a few weeks back with his brother, Warsaw Freshman High teacher Bob, was walking along Waveland Avenue in the seventh inning of a game with Cincinnati. The home run ball, hit by the Reds' Mike Vail, made for a nice souvenir.
