The date carved into the southwest corner of the building reads 1884. Soon the cornerstone and the rest of the foundation will be all that’s left of the 110-foot by 40-foot Hauth barn on CR 225S, just east of Packerton Road. Ernest and Merl Hauth bought the 90-acre farm in 1948. One of the first things Ernest did was make repairs to the then-62-year-old structure. Reluctant to burn the barn down, he put the word out for anyone interested in tearing down an old barn. Bob Hennessey, of Back Roads Lumber Inc., Placerville, Colo., answered the call. They will dismantle the barn and it will be recycled.

Noah finished with five wins and two losses, had a ringer percent of 43, and received a bronze trophy. Curt Day won the Class-A championship with a 7-0 record and a ringer per cent better than 83.

August 2, 1937, will be the 100th anniversary of the town or village of Webster (now North Webster) in Kosciusko County. Very few persons will know or realize that this town will be 100 years old on that date. The writer of this has the original copy, as it is recorded on the county records, of the surveying and platting of the village on the 2nd day of August 1837. Article was submitted by Orlando Gerard, 78, prominent pioneer and life-long resident of North Webster.
