The top five students in National Junior Honor Society who gave the most hours in volunteer service this academic year are Kaci Smith, Chayla Bassford, Ashley Henry, Carlye Snider and Abby Schwendeman who had the most service hours with 197. Thirty-seven Edgewood Middle School students were inducted into membership in the National Honor Society May 19.
   Top students at Lakeland Christian Academy: Jennifer D. Rex, daughter of Robert and Carolyn Rex, Warsaw, is valedictorian; John E. Franklin, son of John and Carol Franklin, Winona Lake, is salutatorian and co-Timothian; Elizabeth L. Hand, daughter of Terry and Terese Hand, Warsaw, is co-Timothian.

Loren Tridle, 75, will serve as parade marshal Saturday, June 10 for the Mentone Egg Festival. The theme for this year's festival is "Down On the Farm." Tridle's office supervises the operations of Mentone Stockyard which he started 46 years ago. On Nov. 8, 1948 Tridle opened his own stockyard on a four-acre parcel of property. "I built it myself." Tridle grew up on a farm in Jackson Township and graduated from Sidney High School. He has been active in Mentone; 4-H, coaching softball and baseball, serving on the town board. "It's an honor to be named parade marshal. It's a good little community."
   Warsaw Speedway, in its 41st year of existence, is owned by the County Fair Association and operated by Dee Chapman and Earl Gaerte. Improvements are the clay surface applied to the track, seeding of the infield, a public address system and expansion of seating outside.

Wagon Wheel Playhouse is the first theatre in the Midwest to present "My Fair Lady," one of the best musicals of the century. Directed by Tom Roland with costumes by James & Son, Philadelphia. Featuring Jill Denison as Eliza Doolittle and Bernard McInerney as Henry Higgins. Also: Gary Gage, Evelyn Ereckson, Earl Boen. June 20 through July 12. Single admission-$3.00; matinee, $2.25. Other 1964 attractions: "Paint Your Wagon" July 14-July 26; "The Sound of Music" July 28-August 9; "The Boys From Syracuse" August 11-August 23; "Take Me Along" August 25-September 7.
   Mentone High School presents a two-act musical comedy Tuesday, May 5. Mike and Jim Whetstone, Jim Bryan and Bill Dawson are the teen-age boys in "Lucky Day." Vivian Hurst plays Charlene.

George Bowser, local attorney and this city's second ranking tennis star, was elected president of the Warsaw Tennis Club for the current season.He succeeded Ralph Boice, last year's president. Robert Gast was elected vice-president; Robert Hall, secretary-treasurer; and Louis Breading, chairman.
   Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snyder are the parents of a five and one-half pound daughter, Sandra Dian, born at the home on South Indiana street.
   A model ship enclosed in a glass case was a gift to the late Billy Sunday by a large steamship company. It had been on display at the public library here for some time, but was taken to Indianapolis Monday by Paul Bilby, local undertaker, and placed on permanent display at the state museum. Ma Sunday donated the sailing vessel.
