The Bistro ‘A Lago Ladies Bridge group met recently with seven tables playing. The winners were Jean Pritchard, Isobel Pfeiffer, Rosalee Spear, R. Pfeiffer, R. Mayer, Marjorie Nice and Jodie Mosbaugh.

Dr. Mark Marcheski, Animal Hospital of Warsaw, was the winner of a weekend get-away to Chicago as a result of a fundraising campaign conducted recently by the Altrusa Club of Warsaw. Susan Woodward, Altrusa Club member, made the presentation to Marcheski. The Altrusa Club uses funds they raise to support the Beaman Home, the local shelter for the abused, and for scholarships to high school seniors planning to pursue careers in business.

Miss Jean Davis has been appointed senior editor of “The Lamp” at Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing in Fort Wayne. Jean is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Davis, Warsaw.
Richard Pletcher has been named to the Indiana University Student Foundation committee. The group serves as a liaison between the student body and the Indiana University Foundation.

Dr. A. Christy Brown of Winona Lake has received word that her daughter, Mrs. Roberta Hope, and her husband, Rev. Fred Hope, have arrived in New York City. They are missionaries in Central Africa and are coming to the states for one year’s vacation. Their home is at Winona Lake, but they will go to Columbia, S.C., where they will remain with their children until after the holidays.
