    Sammy Kimmel, 6, and Olivia Timmerman, 13 months, both of Warsaw, took top honors at Friday night's costume contest sponsored by the Warsaw Merchants' Association. Nearly 200 children participated in the event that was preceded by two hours of trick-or-treating in the downtown business district.

    BOURBON - James Britton and Clifford Leiter were presented recently with tie tacks by Bourbon Postmaster James Slough commemorating 25 years of postal service by each man.

    Sixteen-year-old Shawnee Ulery, of Warsaw, The Times-Union November calendar girl, reminds us that this is the month of Thanksgiving. Shawnee is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ulery, East Center Street. She is a Warsaw High School junior.

    Stanley Boggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Boggs of Mentone, was recently named major athletic editor of the Syllabus, student year book of Northwestern University. Boggs, a graduate of Warsaw High School, is at present a member of the junior class of Northwestern University.
