The Kosciusko Community YMCA has received a windfall – at the expense of the Warsaw Health and Fitness Center. The Fitness Center, which has been “temporarily” closed for some time, has donated exercise equipment and lockers to the local YMCA. The donation comes at a perfect time for the YMCA as its expansion is well underway and a membership drive is about to begin.

School safety patrol boys and girls surely deserved a “pat on the back” today. One of them – Rebecca Lee – a sixth-grader at the Adams School in Warsaw, was guarding the safety of boys and girls en route to school this morning at the intersection of East Center and High Streets. It was 10 below zero at the time (it had been 12 below a few hours earlier) but Rebecca said she was not cold. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lee, Warsaw. All Warsaw and Kosciusko County schools were in session today with the exception of Atwood.
