    For two local women, the dream of playing volleyball at the next level has come true. The dream to take their skills and apply them in a match. As members of IPFW's women's volleyball team, Whitko's Rachel Brown and Warsaw's Sarah Calhoun have earned the honor to play on one of Fort Wayne's elite college sports programs.

    Underwater photography is a local attorney's hobby.

"It's a thrill seeing things you just can't see anywhere else in the world," says Tom Lemon, Warsaw. Just where does Lemon go, and what does he see? As a sports enthusiast who includes snorkeling, scuba diving and photography in his repertoire, Lemon travels to places which are beautiful both on land and underwater.

October 31 1959

    Members of the old Warsaw A.A. softball team, a power in Indiana softball from the early 1940s until it disbanded five years ago, surprised Avery "Pat" Garber with a dinner in his honor at Horn's Sunnymede Restaurant. "Pat" formed the Double A team and managed it for many years. He, Roy Cassel and McCrea Rea were instrumental in developing the popularity of softball here during the World War II years and thereafter.

    Ten children enjoyed a Halloween party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Laughlin, Warsaw, complimentary to their two sons, Elden and Harold. Prizes for both girls and boys were given to the best masked guests. Those receiving awards were: Elvin Brallier, Argel Brallier and Jo-Ann Richards. Games and contests were enjoyed. Refreshments, in keeping with Halloween, were served.
