SYRACUSE - New Hope Pet Rescue will hold a benefit July 11 to raise money for a new facility.
There has been a need for a new facility for a number of years. The Rescue currently keeps their animals in foster homes.
With the faltering economy, the number of people looking for new homes for their pets has increased. The New Hope Pet Rescue has to turn down a majority of those who inquire with them.
The event includes a haystack dinner, auctions, raffles, cash draw and a live band. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
More than 40 businesses have donated items for a silent auction.
Cash draw tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. First prize is $300 and $100 will be given for second and third prize.
Raffle tickets are $1 each and prizes include a 32-inch flat screen TV and a $500 Wal-mart gift card.
The event will take place at the Eagles Lodge in Syracuse. Dinner will be served from 4 to 11 p.m.
The live entertainment, 3-G The Gary Gerard Group, as well as the silent auction, raffles, and cash draw will begin at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available in Syracuse at The Revolving Closet, Lakeside Fitness and Crossroads Bank; in North Webster at Consignia; and in Milford at Bobi's Shear Success and Milford Vet Clinic. Tickets will be sold at the door, but it helps with planning if tickets are bought in advance.
Additional help in selling tickets for this event is needed. If you would like to help sell tickets, contact newhopepetrescue@yahoo.com
Donations may be made to Crossroads Bank, Syracuse.
