Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography Coach is coming to Warsaw Wednesday.

The event is sponsored by Tri-Kappa Sorority and is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Combined Community Services parking lot, 110 E. Prairie St., Warsaw.

Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography Coach brings mammography screening to women across northeast Indiana at locations convenient to their homes or work places.

The mobile mammography program is a partnership of the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Breast Cancer Diagnostic Center, and Francine’s Friends.

The interior of the 40-foot long motor coach is designed for complete privacy.

Radiologic technologists from the Breast Cancer Center staff the coach that is furnished with the same FDA-approved and Mammography Quality Standards Act approved equipment.

Board certified breast imaging radiologists from Fort Wayne Radiology interpret the exams.

Screening mammography through the mobile service is for women who are age 35 and older who have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months, have no prior or current history of breast cancer, and are insured or uninsured.

To schedule a mammogram call 260-483-1847 or 800-727-8439, extension 26540. It is recommended to schedule appointments prior to the event. Walk-in openings are available depending on the schedule.
