American Legion Unit 49 will celebrate Poppy Day Saturday.
Poppy Day is an American tradition that distributes the red memorial flower to the public. The program raises awareness and respect for veterans. They promote the poppy as a symbol of the sacrifices our military have made.
Wear your poppy proudly. You will see them at Owen’s stores, Kmart and Big-R.
