Law Enforcement in Action Day May 12

The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, in conjunction with the Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a Law Enforcement in Action day on Saturday, May 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the old courthouse, 100 W. Center Street.  

The purpose of the program is to provide children and teenagers, ages 6-16 the opportunity to see various aspects of the law enforcement system and to create a stronger relationship between our youth and local law enforcement.

The day’s events will include multiple police K-9 presentations, SWAT presentation and display of weapons, the use of the Taser, crime scene investigation, fingerprinting, defensive tactics, and observe the equipment available to our officers.  An inmate lunch will be provided followed by a tour of the Kosciusko County Jail and central dispatch center.

Anyone interested in participating in the program may obtain a registration form from the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club website at warsawoptimist.org or from the Warsaw Police Department.  The form should be mailed or delivered to the Warsaw Police Department, 2191 E.
