Farm Bureau Names $200 Winner

Posted
Kosciusko County Farm Bureau awarded Greg Shafer, Sidney, a $200 Marsh gift card recently as a result of their “Food Check-Out Week” celebration.

It takes about five weeks for the average American to earn enough disposable income to cover their food costs for the entire year, according to the United States Dept. of Agriculture.

Kosciusko Co. Farm Bureau partnered with Marsh, Lake City Radio  (Willie 103.5, WRSW 107.3) and Clunette Elevator to offer radio listeners a chance to learn more about Farm Bureau and how it pays to be a member. Listeners had many opportunities last week to answer trivia questions about agriculture in Kosciusko County as well as Indiana, thereby  winning $10 Marsh cards.

Those cards entered their winners into a $200 Marsh card grand prize drawing donated by Clunette Elevator.

Kosciusko County Farm Bureau is a grassroots organization made up of active farm and non-farm members with the purpose of ensuring a food supply that is safe and abundant, as well as the most affordable in the world.

Farm Bureau welcomed the partnership with Clunette Elevator in this event as they are a family owned and operated agri-business since 1951.

Clunette Elevator is proud to support the community that has supported them for nearly 62 years.

Farm Bureau also thanks Marsh as a quality outlet for American grown food and for supporting Food Check-out Week.

Lake City Radio was an important link in Farm Bureau's success in reaching out to the community to deliver the all important message. That message is that county family farms, along with all family farming operations across the nation, use today’s modern technology to grow the food supply at least cost.
