The mission of Boomerang Backpacks is to feed hungry children in the community. It provides free, healthy foods weekly to needy elementary students to enjoy on the weekends. Currently, the program serves Lincoln and Leesburg elementary students in the Warsaw School District. The goal is to expand the program to other elementary schools in the corporation, and feed all of the hungry elementary students in the community. It costs approximately $100 per student for the school year. Monetary donations are appreciated to help cover the costs. Donate more than $1 at the Warsaw Community High School boys varsity game Friday night and receive a raffle ticket to take a half court shot during half time of the game. Make the shot and win a Kindle Fire, donated by Warsaw Foundry. Miss, and receive a $25 Visa gift card.
