Residents of the Barbee Chain of Lakes are invited to a public meeting to discuss aquatic plants living in the lake waters.
The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 6 in the North Webster Community Center.
Sara Peel, of J.F. New, and Tony Cunningham, of Weed Patrol Inc., will discuss the current year's plant survey findings, treatment results of the 2007 program and recommendations for treatment in 2008.
Angela Sturdevant, of the State Lake and River Enhancement office, and Jen Pearson, district DNR biologist, also have been invited to participate.
