Betty J. Baugher, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Feb. 7, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Nov. 15, 1934, in Warsaw, to Judson L. and Jettie Thompson Vanator. On May 28, 1954, she married Forrest “Bud” Baugher in Warsaw. She was a 1953 graduate of Warsaw High School and a lifetime Warsaw resident. She worked in the accounts payable department for DePuy for 19 years; she also had worked for Miller and Sons, Silver Lake.
Eugene Leroy Grimm, 83, Claypool, passed away at 9:34 a.m. Feb. 6, 2017, at his home. He was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Mishawaka, to John E. and Helen Mabel Cowan Grimm. He moved to the Warsaw area in the 1940s and attended Warsaw High School. On July 17, 1965, in Warsaw, he married Karen Ann Rollings, who survives.
Candace J. Hedington, 79, a faithful servant of God, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 29, 2016, at home. She was surrounded by her husband, Delbert; her children; and her loving dog, Susie. She had been ill the past few months. She was born Jan. 31, 1937, in Etna Green, to Harley “Hod” and Lela Fern Taylor Mellott. She was a lifelong resident and attended Etna Green High School.

PIERCETON — Ada Jean Finken, 91, Pierceton, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Feb. 4, 2017, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. On May 7, 1925, she was born in Fort Wayne to Thurman and Nellie Birtwhistle Busz. She was united in marriage to Carl L. Finken on Nov. 4, 1947, in Orchard Park, N.Y. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1986.

He is survived by his wife, Susie McDonald, New Paris; three daughters, Kimberly (spouse Robert) Bradtmiller, Indianapolis; Shauna (spouse Jim) Fought, Topeka; and Cathleen (Tim Walker) Krauter, Syracuse; six grandchildren: Amanda, Alyson, Riley, Morgan, Ryan and Devin; a great-granddaughter, Emma Belle; and three brothers: James “Jim” McDonald, Syracuse; Michael (spouse Linda) McDonald, Florence, Ala; and Clair McDonald, Phoenix, Ariz. He moved to Syracuse in 1973 from Springfield, Ohio. On May 12, 1973, in Pigeon Forge, Va., he married Kathy A. Page Huffenberger, who survives. He was formerly employed at Hart Housing, Nappanee, for six years; Forest River, Goshen; and was a semi driver for Snyder Trucking, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Atchison, Syracuse; a daughter, Tanisha Atchison, Goshen; two sons, Vaugh W. (spouse Birdie) Atchison Jr., Ligonier, and David Huffenberger, Cromwell; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; his father, Richard Atchison, Tampa, Fla.; a half sister, Tyra Coe, Springfield; and a half brother, Roger Coe, Thailand. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, a brother and a sister. Services will be at noon Thursday, with calling two hours prior, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W.
