Ybarra Sentenced To Four Years In Stabbing

Posted

David Ybarra was sentenced today to four years in prison for stabbing a Pierceton man in 1995.

A jury in Kosciusko Superior Court I found Ybarra guilty of battery with a deadly weapon, a Class C felony, in March.

The four-year prison sentence is the presumptive sentence for battery. The sentence will not be suspended to probation.

Ybarra was found guilty of stabbing Greg Alfano outside The Post in Pierceton during a fight on Sept. 17, 1995.

Alfano was stabbed in the back and positively identified Ybarra as the man who stabbed him.

Ybarra will be sent to the Indiana Department of Corrections to serve his time. He was credited with 64 days spent in Kosciusko County Jail awaiting trial and sentencing.
