Woody Resigns From Syracuse Town Council

SYRACUSE – Republicans are looking for a new member for the Syracuse Town Council.
Ward 4 councilman Brian Woody told the council toward the end of its meeting Tuesday that he was resigning from the board.
Woody’s last meeting was Tuesday, according to Syracuse Clerk-Treasurer Paula Kehr-Wicker, and Woody has served on the council about 13 years.
A caucus of eligible Kosciusko County Republican Precinct committeemen will be at 7 p.m. June 15 in the Syracuse Town Council Chambers, Syracuse Town Hall, 310 N. Huntington St., for the purpose of filling the remainder of Woody’s unexpired term as the Ward 4 councilman.
Interested eligible candidates for the position must file a declaration of candidacy with Kosciusko County Republican Chairman Randall Girod no later than 72 hours before the beginning of the caucus.
