A Warsaw woman was taken to the hospital after overturning her vehicle in a ditch and partially submerging it in water Sunday afternoon.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department crash report, officers responded to an accident with injury around 3:45 p.m. on North CR 800W, north of West CR 300N in Warsaw. Upon arrival, officers noted that several good samaritans had helped the driver, Florence R. Starkey, 27, East Center Street, Warsaw, and her 3-year-old daughter out of the vehicle.
Medics and fire personnel arrived and began treating Starkey, who complained of pain in her leg and believed it to be broken. Her daughter appeared to have no injuries.
Starkey told police she had blacked out and did not remember the accident. She also explained she had been experiencing severe headaches recently.
Though there were no witnesses, evidence at the scene suggested Starkey was traveling southbound on CR 800W when her vehicle skidded sideways on the roadway and rolled over in the ditch, the report said.
Starkey was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
