MILFORD – A Milford woman was arrested Monday after a June 7 incident where she bit an EMT who was tending to her care.
Lorelei A. Mounsey, 34, of 402 W. First St., Milford, is charged with battery resulting in bodily injury – victim is a health care provider, a class D felony.
On June 7, Milford Police Department responded to her residence following a drug overdose. Officers arrived to find Mounsey with slurred speech and difficult to understand. As they approached, she fell and officers tried to catch her and hold her up.
While responding, her husband contacted dispatch to advise that Mounsey had taken all of her medication at once. Officers found three empty prescription medication bottles.
While EMTs were treating Mounsey, she became aggressive and threatened to kill both. Both EMTs advised she struck and kicked them while tending to her care. Mounsey then bit one on the right arm and struck the victim’s head.
Mounsey was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
