Winona Lake To Hold Auction On Lodge Items Saturday

Posted
WINONA LAKE – A used fire truck, sofas and beds are some of the items that can be bid on Saturday during an auction in Winona Lake.
The items are from the town lodge at 1592 Park Avenue, which was established in the early 1900s.
Instead of remodeling the lodge, it will be torn down and an auction will be Saturday on items that are in the lodge, according to Craig Allebach, Winona Lake town coordinator.
The auction will be from 10 a.m. until items are sold out.
Funds raised from the auction will go into the town’s general fund.
Allebach said there were moisture issues with the lodge.
He said the town plans to get quotes on tearing down the building the end of this month or in February.
