A Winona Lake Police Department officer was injured in rear-end collision Wednesday night. Joseph D. Bumbaugh, 54, Park Avenue, Winona Lake, was driving east on Lake City Highway and slowed at the Center Street intersection to allow traffic to merge when his police cruiser was hit. The other driver, Moriah Young, 27, Clinic Court, Warsaw, told police that she was looking to merge and did not see Bumbaugh’s vehicle. Bumbaugh complained of neck pain and his K9 partner was transported to Lake City Animal Clinic for medical attention. Neither Young nor her passenger were injured.
