WINONA LAKE – The annual Winona Lake Fourth of July Celebration is June 30 in Winona Lake Park. The Warsaw-Winona Lake Fireworks are over Winona Lake June 30 at dusk. According to Winona Lake Town Coordinator Craig Allebach the fireworks were moved up a to a weekend night rather than having them on July 4 which this year is a Wednesday. The Firecracker 5K registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. The parade registration and lineup is at 11:15 a.m. and the parade begins at noon. The parade theme is “Let’s Go To The Hop.” Parade awards begin at 12:45 p.m. at the center stage. There will be free blow-up activities available from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be a cutie contest for ages 4 to 6. Registration is from 1 to 2 p.m.; private interviews are from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.; and cutie awards are at 4 p.m. The car show registration is from 1 to 3 p.m. with door prizes at 4:15 p.m. A live disc jockey will play a variety of music at the main stage from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be food vendors, craft kits and games. A patriotic pops concert will be performed at the Hillside Amphitheater in the Village At Winona from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Contact Holly Hummitch at 574-267-2310 with questions.
