Warsaw Housing Authority's board of directors heard some good news at its meeting Thursday.

According to WHA executive director Angie Shirk, the Indiana Housing Financing Authority has found no complaints with the agency. All rules and regulations are being followed.

However, in bad news, Shirk said, the WHA will have to get new computers soon. Their computers have only 16 bits of memory space but WHA needs twice that amount of computer memory.

In other news, 10 families are searching for housing under the WHA voucher program as of Thursday. Four voucher contracts have been completed. WHA is not issuing certificates anymore.

There was also one certificate termination and four voucher terminations as of Thursday.

Jake Murray will take over the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, Shirk told the board. He will be counseling the people under the program and he has begun the interviews. There are 17 on the FSS waiting list and seven FSS participants.

Department of Housing and Urban Development requires WHA to do the program but doesn't help maintain it. Shirk said the program will gradually dissipate.
